Once again, I agree. I used to say "there's no such thing as too much 
power" but for many, I'm beginning to have my doubts! In the paper last week was 
yet another inexperienced driver crashing a high-powered car. This happens 
every so often; time, it was the mechanic that had just tuned up a customer's 
Ford GT. He was unhurt but the car was totalled... entire front was smashed 
in which probably means the car was driven at high speed into an immovable 
object, in spite of wide sticky tires, superb handling and huge brakes. No 
official reason given for the crash but the mechanic is likely now at the 
unemployment office. Think about this as you scrimp & save to shove 500+ bhp 
into your street car. A little practice- maybe at an autocross- could be 
valuable before you try for a suburban land-speed record. FWIW- J DeRyke
