It's VERY important to follow Jack's instructions and not leave it hooked 
up too long.   Recently a PCNC member followed the first half of the 
advice--he hooked up his Optima in parallel with another battery on a charger.   He 
then sat down and watched TV and forgot about it and let it cook for quite 
some time.

It pretty much wrecked the battery.   He installed it in his car anyway, 
and on the drive to Reedyville, it went all Three Mile Island on him.   When 
he popped the hood, acid was SPRAYING out the top all over the place!!!!
