Interesting comments... car is actually a small block stroked
to 402 inches... there are about 1/4 of them that race nowadays that
are the big blocks.. at 1100 hp plus (you can hear them on grid
as they shake the ground)

Lozano with all their high tech dynos etc just laughed when
my buddy talked about the different height stacks

We had a Canadian team show up a couple of years ago and
they made the switch to a big block and the driver had a tough
time getting the car to go where he wanted it... they actually
put a bigger steering wheel on the thing to help....

A few of the drivers have multiple cars and do not like to drive
the Big Block cars on the more technical tracks

I call it trying to drive a Sprint car on pavement... trying to
feather the throttle is the biggest problem with these cars with
only 5 rules for the class

Must have two seats
Must have wheels covered
Must run gasoline
Must have operable doors
One more I can't remember...everything else goes
They did outlaw Jim Halls sucker car as it was throwing crap all over the
track

Way cool cars... didn't one of our list members have a Can Am car???
They remind me of my 180 headers on the Pantera.. give me a Shadow car

Bob Benson #3 Black Pantera
