[DeTomaso] Motorcycle battery life

Here in Iowa, my motorcycle doesn't run over 6 months a year. I was lucky to get 2 to 3 years out of a battery by removing it from the cold garage and putting in the basement. I finally got a trickle charger and let it work it's magic with the battery in the bike over the winter and I always have a full charge when I go to start it up in the spring. I think I've gotten 5 years out of a battery with the charger.
I also use a trickle charger on the Pantera, Porsche and Mustang (which also sit over the winter) and have not had to replace the battery as often.

Motorcycle batteries: use it or lose it! They go down too quickly, and they
stay down. --Bill
