[DeTomaso] !7" wheels on stock body Pantera

Well, like I wrote I've seen a narrow body car so equipped and I was as
surprised as you that it was actually possible. Regarding the GT5s I
thought the stock 285 were no problem. Don't know about the 17" variety
though but if you can squeeze it in under narrow fenders, why not on the
wide ones?

Well, it's 9 inches wide where the tire bead touches the wheel--that's
how 
wheels are measured.

You are exactly right--a 275 tire will never fit on the front of a stock
body Pantera. They are a squeeze on a GT5-S even.
