[DeTomaso] SPEEDOMETER CONCERN !

Myron,
  My dealings with Palo Alto Speedometer for 25 plus years have been  
no problem. Always correct on price, time and quality. Hermutt's  
father started it back in the 60's.
You need to call them and allow them to talk it out with you.
Of course they ran it on a drill stand if they would seen a flutter,  
it would have fixed.
As a 30 year mechanic shop owner, I would check the cable routing for  
pinch. Also simply hook up a drill-cable and see for yourself a out of  
car flutter.
Car, cable or speedo owns this problem.
  I drove my Espada in the snow a year and half ago when I heard the  
speedo scream and flutter. Before I knew it the unit died. I got a  
cable kit from Autozone and cut/ placed it in. All was okay till a two  
day ago very fast country drive when the flutter began again at low  
speed. So I need to reoil the cable and lower input bushing/bearing.
