[DeTomaso] Wires between rear tail lights

When I hid my wire harness across the back of the car, I ran it along the
top of the frame rail in the wheel well, using Adel clamps to hold it in
place, and passed it into the tail light box through a hole cut in the back
of the light box near the point where the rail meets the box. I cut the
hole so a grommet large enough to pass all of the wires and connectors
through could be used to protect the hole after sliding it down the harness
to the appropriate spot. After the harness was passed through the hole and
the grommet was in place, I sealed the wires in the grommet with gray
plumbers' putty. Remember not to pass the lead for the right rear marker
light through with the rest.

It was then a matter of feeding the wire bundle through the light box
running across the back of the car, making sure the leads for the AC fan,
reverse switch and license plate lights can drop down at the right places.
You'll have to tape wrap some of the leads to keep them from binding up as
you pull it through, and you'll likely end up with some skinned knuckles
along the way. If you have slender fingers, it will help. You will need to
create a smaller hole in the back of the driver's side light box at the
outside end to pass the driver's side marker lead through. Use the same
grommet and putty process as the right, just smaller.

That was my method, anyway. Looks great.

It's quite easy to run the wires through the body in between the
taillights. I honestly can't remember the specifics, as to whether any
holes need to
be drilled to get the wires from the inside of the wheelwell into the cavity
behind the taillights, but I did this modification to my own car, many years
ago, and it was fairly trivial.
