[DeTomaso] power window question

Dear Asa,

I suspect that you're right. My passenger window went MIA last year
and I was sure that the plastic gear had broken. When I took it apart, I
discovered to my surprise that it *already* had a brass gear. I cleaned up
the schmutz of the old hard desiccated grease and tested the motor and it
ran fine. I then greased it back up and the window now works better than it
has for the last five years!

                       Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

Keep the motor and use a good white lithium grease. The motor is
probably fine. It's up to you if you want to replace it.
