I always disconnect - first.  If you take + off first, swinging the wrench
too close to other parts of the car can cause a huge spark.  But when you
take - off first, the only place the wrench can arc to is to the + batt
terminal so there's far less chance of a OOPS.  Installation should be the
reverse, install + then -.

When disconnecting the battery, does it matter which terminal is done first?
Seems there was a string about this a while back, and I'm updating some
procedures, most of which start with this step.
