[DeTomaso] NPC - Reboot

 My girlfriend's Caravan wouldn't start and when you turned the key ALL the instruments went full scale (including the speedometer).   I was thinking there was some major electrical problem, but it turned out it was just a dead battery.   A Dodge service tech confirmed that the dials go crazy when there is a dead battery.

The other evening my wife mentioned that the dash lights that show her 
the gear selection on her Dodge Caravan were out.  The next morning the 
whole dash was out, not just the lights, but none of the gauges were 
working either.  I did a quick internet search and the simplest 
potential solution was to turn off the car and pull the fuse that 
supplies power when the car is off (ignition off draw).  After waiting a 
minute and putting that fuse back in, lo and behold the whole dash is 
fully functional.

It reminds me too much of the old joke about how cars would work if they 
were designed by programmers.
