Thats not the worst of it, Tom. Once the rubber is out, there's a steel
bushing-liner thats pressed into the a-arm sockets. The only true way to remove
the steel bushings is with a hydraulic press and a carefully sized pusher
and receiver (and a hacksaw). There are 16 in a Pantera.
Or, there are some poly bushings sold that are sized to go inside the stock
steel sleeves, thus making the most difficult part of the stock removal
unnecessary. Years ago, an East Coast owner wrote 'Bushing Pushing' for the
POCA newsletter- a step by step description of the necessary bushing removal
technique. I think MIke Daily's web site also has a description of the moves
needed. Once you have experience, it only takes all day Saturday to do a
car. Or, some vendors sell installed bushings on an exchange basis. Good
luck- J DeRyke
