[DeTomaso] Removing Poly Bushings

Thats not the worst of it, Tom. Once the rubber is out, there's a steel 
bushing-liner thats pressed into the a-arm sockets. The only true way to remove 
the steel bushings is with a hydraulic press and a carefully sized pusher 
and receiver (and a hacksaw). There are 16 in a Pantera. 
Or, there are some poly bushings sold that are sized to go inside the stock 
steel sleeves, thus making the most difficult part of the stock removal 
unnecessary.   Years ago, an East Coast owner wrote 'Bushing Pushing' for the 
POCA newsletter- a step by step description of the necessary bushing removal 
technique. I think MIke Daily's web site also has a description of the moves 
needed.   Once you have experience, it only takes all day Saturday to do a 
car. Or, some vendors sell installed bushings on an exchange basis. Good
