          Jack and all,

Once again the facts ! The majority of L & N Pantera Replicas were V-8 frame cars!! Only a couple of the V-6 frame cars were built. The frames were identical until you got to the rear firewall / bulkhead area. From there the V-6 cars differed greatly for the transverse drivetrain set up and the attendant suspension.
The Long & Newman cars looked nothing like a Fiero which had a much shorter wheelbase. The Long & Newman V-8 and V-6 cars had the identical wheelbase, track, and the EXACT stock DeTomaso Pantera body dimensions...again if you read my previous post , the molds were pulled from an original 1972-L chassis # THPNML 04371 which I owned at the time. The cars also used all original Pantera suspension and brakes including the steering rack , spindles , control arms, rear uprights and axles.

Please stop making this stuff up as you go!! These spates of erroneous information regarding the L & N cars serves only to confuse people and truly misrepresents the product!

                                                                             Les Gray

The L-N kits used two different frames- one for the fwd v-6 powertrain
and one for a v-8 with a ZF. Most of the 50-some kits were sold with the
cheaper, easier to finish V-6. With those, once finished, you had- an odd looking
Fiero, and the stock Getrag transaxle was limited to about 250 bhp before
the diff spider gears and CV joints began taking a hike. With the automatic
transaxle, it would hold a few more ponies than the 5-speed. Lots of trouble
for what you got IMHO- J DeRyke
