[DeTomaso] drive shafts U-Joint

What does one get for $3500 in PPC's kit, just CV's to drop in place of half shafts or inner & outer stub axles too? I'm the first to agree that oem half shafts are pretty stout pieces and will hold up well under virtually all abuse if maintained properly, but if one had to replace a shot/damaged pair with the likes of Spicers whilst laying out the dough personally I'd opt for a CV upgrade at that point and it doesn't have to be a $3500 proposition. With Ken Green's work Sacoperformance is offering a CV axle kit for $1195 as a bolt in complete with axle flange adapters.

Personally I'd opt for the ZF M1 CV stub axles, get longer CV axles and eliminate one adapter. Kelly Coffield tells me an outer axle flange is available from Mark Williams which could eliminate the outer adpater too, albeit at high cost and yes I admit having done all that once again the cost is heading toward the $3k mark.
