[DeTomaso] random branding question

My family name is de Melo. It is of Portuguese origin. "de" translates to 
"of", meaning Will of the Melo family.
So really, my last name is Melo, but is spelled de Melo.
I believe this is the same for most european countries, but hey, I've been 
wrong before.
