 Think of it as a pyramid scam. To the very foolish they try to
retrieve actual cash through western union for item that is not in their
possession, this part is obvious, but few buy it and never move forward but
not before giving them their info. Then there are the people who recognize
the scam and send emails to them with remarks and so on. Even the actual
owners will send emails to them because they are pissed. With all they
emails they receive they can easily get any financial information from the
senders computers and hit bank accounts for small 5-20 dollar transactions
that go un-noticed for a while.  Easy way to make a living right
. They are
outside of the reach of our laws so we can’t touch them as most are in other
countries such as Nigeria.

This is déjà vu.... In 2006, and you can go back and look at the archives, I
wrote a very descriptive post about why not to contact these A$$holes. They
want your email and your I.P. address!!!!!!!!!!!!! With it they have all the
information stored on your computer. I just rejoined the list after being
away for four years and glad to see some familiar names. Ken, how did the
aprilia turn out?

Requests for initial contact outside of ebay ALWAYS indicate it's a
fraudulent 
auction using a hijacked ebay account!

"Real" email?  I doubt it. Anyone can create an email account on MSN (or
Yahoo, 
Gmail, etc.).

Might be nice to send this scum an email then run an IP trace to determine
where 
it's actually being sent from. Then send over some of our Italian brothers
to 
"have a little talk."
