[DeTomaso] stuff for sale

A lot of Panteras in California spent years close to the ocean.  The salt air is a killer and can get inside everything.  It's probably the worst where you get the marine layer in the morning, and unprotected metal rusts really fast.

Goes to show you that I guess they can rust anywhere....literally. (Both meanings apply) Cars can rust in California or cars can rust on the top of the fender where water doesn’t get trapped anywhere. My car has rust issues that are being resolved, but it definitely didn’t have rust on top of the sheet metal....it was rusty where you would think...in the places where water couldn’t escape.

I suppose the car may not have spent its whole life in California....

The red LA car scares the hell out of me. That fender rust looks like it is coming from underneath. By the time you strip down to it ... there ain't gonna be nothing left. Keep looking.....  Bill 1362
