Hi all, Dave asked me to post this for him. He is looking for modified
Panteras for a new book.

I have been reading this list forever, but this is my first post. I hope I
didn¹t do anything incorrectly. I am RobertVegas on the Pantera.net forum
and own an orange Œ72 with GT5 flairs, etc.

Message from Dave:
Several years ago I began work on a new book to be titled, Extreme and
Modified Panteras. I received a number of amazing contributions from Pantera
owners and enthusiasts for my new title. Sadly, the recession claimed my
project and it had to go on the back burner. Publishing a hard cover book is
expensive.

I now have a publisher willing to bring this book to life. If I get my way,
it will be all-color and a coffee table type book around 160-200 pages. Not
another treatise on Panteras but rather heavy-weighted in favor of
photography with some descriptions. It should be a fun read and a helpful
resource on modified cars. To purists, it will be an abomination but that is
why the Pantera hobby is so much fun! No two people like the same thing.

Besides having photo lay-outs on Panteras, there will be side-bar type
features on specific items such as wheels, or an unusual interior or trick
brakes, etc. In this way, a reader could view all types of modified cars and
their features that creative and inspired owners have prepared.

The main theme of the book is that these are modified cars, extreme
modifications in some cases not stock cars. As much as I enjoy a stock car,
it would be hard, in my view to sustain interest over 200 pages of just
original cars (although as a member of the Austin Healy Club, their gorgeous
magazine was full of original cars and was an enjoyable read although it
looked like the same car on every page, just a different color).

If you have a modified car or your car has special features that would be
fit for publication, how about sending me an email at: dave at panteracars.com
and I will send you back an outline of what I need. Send along a few low
resolution pictures as well. Pictures not over 2MB. Those who have already
sent me information, please drop me an email too so that I can update your
car.

The book will be at least a year off from now and I will update you on how
we are coming along. I am not rushing it. Thank you for your interest and
participation.

Respectfully, Dave Adler
