I used stainless rivets 1/8" x 1/8". They are also listed as 3mm x 3mm.
The guy that did my car removed the drip rails, and painted the area where
they mount. The paint went into the holes, which helps with the grip of the
rivets.
The rivets that I used worked perfectly.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Drip rail installation advice
What is the proper type and size of rivet used to install the stainless
steel drip rail? I would assume stainless over aluminum but I am not real
familiar with using rivets. Or has anybody had success with a low profile
sheet metal screw?
Also what should be used to replace the bead of black sticky goop that
sealed the trim to the door jam?
Thanks for your thoughts.
John
