I think it looks like one of the very imaginative Hot Wheels cars. Or something out of Hollywood's prop department. Like a Big Daddy Roth creation or something from "Speed Racer" or "Transformers" It's not a car I would choose as a driver but it does have some unique style  features and would definitely be worth the $16,000 bid but the owner evidently believes it is worth more and I tend to agree. Taste is very subjective.  There are many pieces of modern art that are valued in the millions of dollars that I would not care to own if my parameters were based on my enjoying viewing it. I can still appreciate it's value and in some cases I have a hard time appreciating their artistic merit. In this case even though I don't care for the style I can still appreciate the merits of this car.
