[DeTomaso] New De Tomaso Automobili factory PR at Reno Fun Rally

As many of you know, the De Tomaso brand was bought last year by a group intending to restore the De Tomaso brand to its former glory and to start producing new De Tomaso vehicles for sale in the US and elsewhere.  We will present information about the new factory at the Saturday night banquet at the Fun Rally in Reno.

The De Tomaso Automobili factory is now moving full steam ahead.  The factory has retained the Arnell PR firm in New York to rebuild the brand and develop the marketing campaigns.  Towards that end, Arnell will be flying up a videographer and a sound engineer from LA early Friday morning to shoot pictures and video of the cars and people at the Fun Rally and to interview current car owners.  

Arnell is also flying out a team of 2-3 designers from New York to soak-in the De Tomaso experience, so that they can design the new marketing campaigns.

The LA team will follow along with Panteras on the various Friday and Saturday events including the Tahoe drive, the Summit Racing parking lot show, the Virginia St show, and the awards banquet.  They will be shooting videos of the cars at speed on the road with cameras mounted in a double-door van that you can pass on your left or right.  Be sure to get your good side!  Of course, they will be shooting and interviewing in the Hospitality Suite as well.

I will arrange some of the interviews.  Others will be informal, "man on the street" style interviews.

The pictures and video will be used for national / international sales ads and other promotional materials, so the Arnell folks have asked us to post a Film Release statement on the door to the Hospitality Suite.  If you are running from the law or ex-wives, you may want to review the Film Release in advance as shown below.

published and republished, used and reused for
commercial purposes, in perpetuity, in the distribution,
advertising, promotion and marketing of De Tomaso
Automobili products ("Usage"), in various media now
known or hereafter developed.

Your appearance in or on these Premises further
constitutes a release from any and all liability of any
kind or nature in connection with the Usage or the use
of your photograph or likeness as described above.

If for any reason, you object to your photograph or
likeness being so utilized as stated above, you should
not enter in or upon these Premises at this time. If you
enter in or upon these Premises and remain during the
time of any photography or videotaping, it will
constitute your approval of the foregoing and you agree
and understand that the photography and videotaping
will proceed in reliance upon your consent and release.
