[DeTomaso] Too good to be true?

If it is a scam and there is no car, they will likely say it just sold or come up with another excuse why it can't be visited. If the spirit of cooperation continues then once can proceed WITH CAUTION and I agree not meet in a back alley in Denmark with unmarked bills.

You have to be very care full saying you are on your way with cash. Some people are much worse then scammers  they are murderers. $27,000 is much more then the requisite minimum to pull the trigger for. Even worse a pissed off scammer -killer when you show up and you don't have the cash. Something about this car doesn't seem right to me. It looks like fresh paint but the engine compartment looks rough. If I were painting my car and I spent the money for Budnick wheels  I would have paid more attention to the whole package.  It looks like someone trying to make a silk purse from a sows ear. I would try to find a local POCA member to check the car out in person. I just get the feeling something is rotten in Denmark.

Let him know you are on the way to pick up the car and have the cash, just need a location. I was looking at a Viper on the net, found out it was in Germany and arranged to fly out a mechanic to view and pick up the car. A real seller would have been excited to arrange the sale and pick up the cash. Mine was a scam. I was disappointed but much less than I would have been had I wired the $$.
