The plot thickens. 

 

Look  at his feedback. 

 

He has positive feedback for having sold a Jag XK for $14k, a BMW 3-series
for $4900, a Rolls Royce for $14,900, and a bunch of car parts in the past 6
months.

 

So it doesn't look like the account was highjacked - the Pantera and M3 are
in line with other cars that have gone through the e-bay system. 

 

Maybe he buys cars at police auctions or something and moves them on e-bay?

Let him know you are on the way to pick up the car and have the cash, just
need a location. I was looking at a Viper on the net, found out it was in
Germany and arranged to fly out a mechanic to view and pick up the car. A
real seller would have been excited to arrange the sale and pick up the
cash. Mine was a scam. I was disappointed but much less than I would have
been had I wired the $$.

Looks legit because he only wants phone calls and not e-mails. Crooks tend
to do the opposite. 

It doesn't sound like he knows the cars all that well as he says he's
checked around and Pantera parts aren't all that expensive. Sounds like he
bought the car 2 months ago or something.

Is it a deal? I suppose it depends on what is under the skin. Could be a
great deal. Or it could be a car with a lot of wiring and rust issues. The
only way to tell is to look at it up close...
