[DeTomaso] Can I leave the fuel pump eccentric out if I'm using an electic pump?

Although you're using an electric pump now, leaving the eccentric in would 
allow you to retrofit a mechanical pump if you later thought better of it.   
It doesn't hurt anything to keep the eccentric in there, does it?   So why 
not just leave it?
