[DeTomaso] Sad day for a Norvegian owner

That seems like a very good system.
There is one organizer ( in France ) who has launched this system with some
success last year, but these are " minor" races, understand with " not so
expensive cars".
Do you realize that the value of the cars that are competing just in Plateau
6 ( from 1972 to 1979 ) at Le Mans Classic this year is probably exceeding
25.000.000 euros. What about Plateau 5, ( 1966 to 1971 ) with Lolas T70 and
several Porsche 917, or Plateau 4 ( 1962 - 1965 ) with a bunch of real race
289 AC Cobra, several factory E Type lightweight ( 12 ever made ) , 275 and
250 SWB Ferrari, 330 GTO's ( 43 ever made, at minimum 15.000.000 euros a
piece today, if you find one ) ... and so on. The insurance premium would be
just .... astronomical !

The racing thing is strictly regulated in Sweden, and one better take part
of this before even think of arranging a race. They specify what a race
is, they specify who is responsible from the track owner to the orginizer.
And last but not least what is on the sholder of the one that drives the
car.
There is an insurance in the form of the racing licens, or if you not have
such license, a "one time licens" is to be had. The insurance is NOT on
the car as a normal insurance, it is about taking part in the TRACK
insurance.
