Billet is a term for making parts from a block of metal. Usually a CNC
machine since this machin can be programmed to create further similar
parts. Billet or CNC is by other word none whatsoever description of
quality of the material or fabrication.

Forged parts is is shaped by forging it to shape, which makes for a
stronger detail than cutting the same part from a solid block. This is
becouse the structure of the metal is following the shape of the part
then.

Cast iron has greater friction numbers than other type of steel which
makes it possible to use a lighter clutch pedal. For normal rpm:s cast
iron is therefore a good choice.
It is not really truth that it is the rpm that is the moost dangerous
part, cracking from heat is what start the "explosion". If the cast iron
flywheel is frequently exchanged it is quite safe, but still not permitted
for DR becouse of general rules.

"Aviation" material does not tell anything about the properties of the
metal, it is a word used by advertise people in order to in a simpler for
create a feeling that "this is the best" since specification of metal is
not being their strong side of life.
