Sorry, I meant the actual ball joint assembly from the A arm, not just removing the arm from the hub assembly.

I just did it on all four wheels. I used a standard ball joint tool which is like a wedge shaped fork.you just place it under the ball joint and whack it with a small sledge hammer. The ball joints are mounted on tapered shafts and they pop off when you drive the wedge between them and the a-arm.
