Mike:  That is a Sub-Woofer covering the bulkhead.  Scott said  that it is 
almost flat under there.  He also makes headlight conversions,  seat foam & 
upholstery, etc. for Panteras.

like a hubcap or a speaker, but I'm guessing  it provides clearance for the
