[DeTomaso] MSD Box failure? ???????

Whoa there Kemosabi,

I've got a J-spec DOHC VTEC Del Sol I've passed to my son. In 16 years and
160K miles it has only stranded us twice: both were the coil, but I'm still
running the stock setup. I figure a coil every 8 years is a small price to
pay. Yes, after the second time, I bought a spare for my son.

If we are going to cherry pick though, let me nominate my '79 XJS and the
Lucas electronics. That electrical system defined crap.

I mounted my MSD on the firewall about 9 months ago and it as been flawless
in the FL heat. After reading some of the posts, though I am considering
moving it to the front.
