Dear Doug,

Yes. You're right and you reminded me of Bob Woodhouse, from
Nebraska. Bob campaigned a red Pantera in the highest classes of SCCA Solo
Autocross at the National level for several years. He was very competitive.

                        Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

Tell that to the many autocrossers who've been beaten by a
Pantera over the years and see what they say. With modern tires,
the spring spacers removed, a larger rear sway bar, good (KONI)
shocks and 2 degrees of negative camber all the way around, a
Pantera is still very competitive in its class. As a newbie
you see may drivers, in what you consider to be lesser cars,
running faster times than you. But, IMHO, it takes at least
3 to 5 full seasons of dedicated autocrossing to approach your
potential as a aurocrosser. One way to find out is to let one
of the local hot-shoes drive your car and see how his times
compare to yours.

Doug
