I've had Johnny do my upper front a-arms several years ago and I couldn't be happier.

He recently charged me  £170 for the job (~ $310 CDN). Pat Mical charges $1200 USD.
His email is johnnyrwoods at aol.com

I looked at the link to Johnny Woods modification and it looks  great. I have two questions. How do I get in touch with Johnny? and what does he charge to do the modification?

    Sounds like an awesome set-up.
BTW, I'm trying to convince a local Pantera mechanical guru/engineer machine builder to build a jig and offer the A-arm mod for us here in Canada and the US. Johnny Woods just did mine at a very reasonable cost, but the shipping for less than 5lbs was $250 alone. It only took him a week, but the travel time was almost 5 weeks turnaround.

No. I have a narrow body L , but I have wide and big wheels and tires for a narrow body. I have custom made three piece forged wheels with Nitto NT-05 tires. The tires are Nitto NT-05 235/40/18 on front ( their actual dimensions are 25.43" Outer Diameter , 9.57"  over all width, approved rim width must be between 8.0" and 9.5", the rears are 335/30/19 also with Nitto NT-05's The tire dimensions are 26.89" Outer Diameter, overall width 13.31" and approved rim width  must be 11.5" to 12.5". The wheels and tires fit the car although the right front tire  touches the fender lip when the wheels are turned all the way to the right lock.  I am in the process of installing Ken Greens Brembo brake modification . For those unfamiliar with this mod  it includes New custom made billet rear risers, new front billet hubs, new heavy duty axles, bearings, billet hats. It does away with the half shafts and replaces them with CV joints. You supply the Brembo
calipers ( they are from a Porsche 968 ( a 911 Turbo) custom Coleman rotors with directional vents , gas vents on the rotor faces  , over 1" thick 13.25" wide on front and 13.1" on the rear. Once I started the installation I realized some of my bushings were a little worn so I decided to rebuild the whole suspension while I had it apart. I am having the a-arms powder coated. I am replacing the bushings with Poly graphite bushings. I replaced the Koni's I had (old oil filled) with new nitrogen adjustable with 300 lb front springs and 450 lb rear springs. I also replaced all the hardware with stainless steel. So I will have an all new suspension with the best Brembo 4 piston calipers, huge rotors, Koni''s , the best (opinion ) bushings with zerk fittings added to the a-arms to grease the bushings, Dennis Quella's camber locks, Konis shocks also from Dennis Quella  set up by him the same as on his Pantera race car, a CNC dual master cylinder with built
in balance bar and braided stainless brake lines. So I have read about a mod that incorporates machining .001 from the ball joint that is supposed to increase the available caster or camber but I don't remember the details. So with all I have  done I want to make sure I get the best set up I can out of what I have.

Yes. Send it to Johnny Woods and he'll modify for the required additional 5 deg needed.
Just kidding, kinda. Apparently, machining the balljoint will only give you a small amount of caster. Not the maount you need for a widebody with wide fronts. Do you have a widebody?

Can some one out line the procedure  for machining the ball joint to improve
or increase the caster or camber available while alignment on a 73 Panteras
          suspension.
Please explain the process and the principal if you know and can take the
          time to explain it. Thanks,
          Boyd
