[DeTomaso] My Rattle Found?    Re:  What I have for Shocks

Got the drivers side out. Bushings are even farther off center. It
looks like that side was riding directly on the a-arm. It could be I
was getting it from both sides and hearing only on the right. When
driving the car it seems I hear the road noise from the right more than
the left. Weird.

Anyway. I've been updated that FOUR shocks were sent, not just two. So
I may have opportunity to try out all four corners. I've been told the
spacers are still in them, so I'll have a chance to test the
compressibility of these replacements when I take the spacers out. If
they act the same, my old Telcars are probably okay and just need new
bushings (or as Mike suggested, perhaps just rotating them to conform
with my budget). As far as I know, these are -not- gas shocks and as I
recall non-gas shocks do not necessarily return to extended, that's why
I was asking what others knew.

Whew... now it's a waiting game. :)
I'd like to thank everyone for their insights and suggestions. They
kept me moving on this until I found what (I believe) it is.

Thank you,
Asa Jay
