[DeTomaso] What I have for Shocks

Asa Jay,

You may want to try this as it has worked for me for toooo many years. Find
or make a small flat steel disk about the size of a penny. Weld on a small
screw that will fit into some plastic aquarium hose. Buy 20' of hose and an
earth magnet the same size as the steel disk.

Attach the magnet and disk to the spot you think the noise is coming from.
Plug one end of the hose onto the disk screw and the other end into your
ear.

Go for a ride and move the magnet around till you find the spot of the
noise.

Warning it is a good idea to tape the hose down as it is no fun having it
ripped from your ear when driving.

It sounds like it's coming from the right front. But I also have
experience with noises transmitting to other corners. You're
suggestion is a good one, albeit a bit time consuming. Since I plan
to work on the car tonight, to isolate the sway bar, I may do this
swap test next.
