Do you have stock front and rear calipers?
What size front and rear wheels and tires do you have?

I added the manual proportioning valve and two gauges too (see pic), but
ame to realize that I don't need the valve after all and my fronts are
lways getting full pressure. That is when I starting thinking that if I
mproved the backs, I could switch the valve to step down the backs instead
f the fronts.

About a year ago, I installed a Brembo Grand Turismo big brake kit on my
350Z. A friend of mine that has a auto repair shop saw my stock Pantera
rear calipers. and suggested I put my old stock
350Z front calipers on the Pantera rears. I'm confident they are superior
to the stock Pantera ones, maybe too good. Anybody done retrofits with
 other applications?

Of course. I mentioned our '72's rig that runs Wilwood Superllites in front
and Porsche 911S aluminum 2-piston fronts in the rear on adapter brackets,
with the Byars Bros GM power brake assembly adapted to the pedals. I ran the
911 rear caliper setup (with a Wilwood cable e-brake) for a number of years
with stock Girling front calipers & stock booster.
Then, Judy blew a stock master cylinder seal on the way to a 'Vegas Fun
Rally one year while travelling thru the Sierra Nevada mountains, and we
continued the remaining 100+ miles- on the rears only- without incident. She
had no problem keeping up with the rather rapid pace of our 8-car Nor-Cal
convoy, with me in the right seat. Then we returned some 550 miles to N
California - again with no trouble. Had there been stock rear calipers, I
suspect the trip would have completed on a much slower tow truck!
Just be very sure you know what you're doing with brake or steering mods!
With the complete change-over, I now run a manual proportioning valve in the
rear lines, with two brake pressure gauges, to optimize braking for track
days etc. Good luck & be careful with home-brewed adaptions- J Deryke
