There is another brake package being made featuring Porsche/Brembo calipers with CNC
machined brackets. Ken Green is spear heading the effort, and organized the package
with the owner of German Auto (his name is Ed, and I am sorry I do not recall his last
name as he is a wonderful gentleman). Ed and his computer programmer completed all the CNC
work in his shop of high tech machines. The quality of the brackets is simply
amazing, featuring Grade 8 fasteners, and they are BEAUTIFUL!! Even got my wife to say,
while holding a caliper bracket, "This is a very pretty piece of metal!"
(Men.....especially Mad Dog, get your minds out of the gutter!!)

Anyway, I started installing this system, but had to go on a trip with my son (college
scholarship visit in Iowa). Upon my return next week, I look forward to completing the
install. My car is not the prettiest (far from it), but I look forward to having one of
the nicest brake packages of any Pantera out there.

Get with Ken Green for specifics. He is VERY knowledgeable, and a great asset to the
Pantera community!

Thats all correct- but Wilwood calipers have a different bolt spacing than
stock so some sort of adapter bracket is needed- which is why the vendors
sell a ''kit'. To date, the only rear caliper 'kit' (Hall & maybe others) uses
a GM single piston sliding rear caliper with their version of a cable
actuater- and thats what you have stock, only smaller than the GM. Wilwood also
sells a cable-operated caliper- handy for those who change to a rear caliper
that has no built in e-brake. And that also need a rather elaborate adapter
bracket. Personally, Wilwood's lack of a dust seal on all their calipers has
not proven to be a problem on the front of our car; a pair have been on
there over 10 yrs without a leak or other problem. Over the years there have
been several DIY articles in the POCA Newsletter on this subject- check your
archives- J DeRyke
