No, those are totally different animals.   Take a look at the factory parts 
diagram:

The spacer is part # 36; the bushing is part #29.   The bushing consists of 
an inner and an outer steel sleeve, bonded together with rubber.

As Jack said, the lower ones really take a pounding.

If you lubricate them properly, poly bushings can probably serve you well 
in this application without squeaking.

I know at least one vendor sells poly shock bushings at what I consider to 
be an unusually high price.   They *should* be pretty cheap, but they 
aren't. :<(
