 Michael,
Thanks for recognizing the people of Cedar Rapids and how they have dealt with the terrible floods of 2008. If it was said once, it was said million times how we dealt with the aftermath in a much "different" way than New Orleans.

Tom in Cedar Rapids

No, I meant too PC for me, PC position being the colorblind, everybody is
equal BS that
pretends to be true, when it isn't.

I'm not a racist, but I didn't see the folks in Chile behaving like those in
Haiti, in our own country I didn't see
the citizens of Cedar Rapids acting like those in New Orleans.

These are not always race or color differences but cultural differences
where breeding like cockroaches
is not encouraged and where people pay attention to the needs of the
children that that have instead of
simply making more of them.

Where being a thief is frowned upon.

Where building a house that won't fall down and kill everybody inside is
important.

The difference is plain and simple ignorance and multigenerational ignorance
that is not only not addressed but is encouraged.

Obama is an idiot ( just throwing that in there while I up here on my
soapbox )

I think the conservative ideal is to be proud of where you came from
and honor your heritage, whereas the liberal idea is this Save the Whales,
make clothes out of Hemp and
support everyone equally despite the fact that many of them are plainly too
lazy and stupid
to deserve the benefits of the sweat equity of others.

I never had children, I wanted a son like most men, intelligence kept me
from it when I was
Young and being responsible kept me from it while I was in between wives
and now, being smart enough to know that starting a family
at age 50 isn't fair to the child keeps me from it now.

OR

I could have just gone around and porked a few baby mamas in my 20 and 30
and had a passel of kids spread all over the southeast,
like so many others do who do know think before they F%$#.

A child costs 500K to raise before college expenses, a condom costs .50
cents.

Isn't that a bunch of crap!

as it should be

So sad that ability, education and merit aren't considered as the first
three elements.

I think we agree on everything except labels.

Go ahead and flame me now PC People, I could care less.

I'm too busy working!

When this all turns to Crap, it won't be the guy with the soft speaking
silver tongue, or the family who
stored away enough provisions, the survivors will be the guys with the most
ammo.

How ironic is it that the rule of the jungle ( the strongest survive ) will
also be the salvation
of those who plan ahead.

and no, I'm no militia member, hate group card carrier or anything else,
just a guy who has worked one or more jobs since age 13,
never unemployed and never handed anything I didn't earn myself or as the
current administration calls us .... SUCKERS.
