[DeTomaso] NPC - Census

Michael,

Don't you mean "too PI" (politically incorrect) rather than "too PC"? It
seems to me that what Gary expressed below is the exact opposite of the PC
position that has been foisted upon us by Liberals and is instead a very
Conservative idea. The current liberal PC position involves racial quotas
(resulting in reverse discrimination). In theory, a color blind society
would result in everyone being financially rewarded according to their
ability and character rather than the color of their skin. With the current
liberal system, we have people getting preferential treatment in education,
jobs and government handouts, simply because of the color of their skin or
ethnic background. This type of reverse discrimination only fuels the flame
of bigotry and stifles the desire for all members of society to pursue
excellence. (Please correct me if I'm reading you wrong Gary).

Oh Good grief, too PC for me.

Clearly, a liberal idea that presumes to know what's best for everyone.

Being a multigenerational WASP myself, I find other races and cultures very
interesting to learn about,
I never want to see an homogenized Obamafied, gray group of people as the
standard.

There is nobility in the differences between us all that should be
celebrated and anybody who is a race or nationality who doesn't take pride
in their heritage should be
kicked out.

Having grown up with Vanilla everything, I cannot express the joys of
attending A Jewish wedding, A Greek Food Festival, An Asian
Street Party, or just this past weekend seeing a group of Hispanic kids
celebrating La Quinceanera.

Viva La difference!
