Boyd,

If you have a .62 fifth installed, it will give you a close equivalent to a 
377 final drive for good HW cruse but you'll retain reasonable acceleration. 
Choosing gears is directly related to your intended usage----which is??? I 
just collaborated today with Dennis Qualla about this exact issue for 
another customer. We both agree a .62 5th is the best bang for the buck in 
most instances for a solid range of performance on the street using a 450 to 
550 HP range engine. Good luck.
