FWIW,
 
I have sent Robert 2 methods with pictures for  removing u-joint bolts 
which have been installed from the ZF side of the  inboard u-joint flange. 
 
I tested both theses methods on my '74. When (if?)  Robert verifies these 
methods, I'll send the article to Mike daily for  Panterplace and also post 
it on my POCA page.
 
The bolts can be removed.
