[DeTomaso] Side Vents

Gary,
I understand your dilemma. I looked at the pictures & changed my mind every
five minutes. Body color vents provide an elegant, sleeker look. The lines
flow. The mat black provides a definite color separation that draws your
attention to the vents. Drawing attention to the vents is not wrong. The
vents are really nice. It is a tough call. Go with your gut but ask about
twenty people. I can't decide between the elegant look and the race look.
Do you want thin or thick crust?

Here is the deli ma. The new colors and trim will not be the same as it
was. The way Hal did the car the vents were body color.

I think it was done because the vents stopped being pure vents and
became part of the body panel. My vents are similar but not the same
(not intended to be the same). My concern is not that it looks like a
Lambo but I don't want it to look like a "street rod" or typical garage
built hot rod.

Here you can see where the color has me on the fence.

And like was stated before, it is far easier to do them in color then re
spray them in mat (no not rattle can) then it is to paint them mat black
and try to match color.
