Regarding spare parts my experience is different. RBT had everything I asked
for except a .846 4th gear set in 2005 when I rebuilt my trans. All the
bearings are identical to dash-2, LSD clutch plates too AFAIK and synchro
rings (that are unique to the dash-1) were off the shelf parts at the time.

Actually, a 'dash 1-1/2' as the dash-1 is a Mangusta-oriented trans by
official ZF definitions. Just can't quite see if the bellhousing is a 2-hole
type clear enough to be sure. If so, this is about the only ZF a pushbutton
guy
might profitably buy as a spare-if the guts are not rusty- since no one has
any spare parts for those boxes. FWIW- J DeRyke
