A What you want from the system.
B your skiil of fabricating.
C Cost.
There are different way of installation designs. If you take a look
at http://www.hemipanter.se/385%20%20Ford%20Pantera.jpg there is a
BB Ford engine from my former Pantera that
have  a dry sump design that is a total "drop in" design. Low pump
mount and a very good sump design. However, this things must be
fabricated.
Buying a complete engine should be looked at as a KIT that include most
part you need, but that the installation has to be made and design from
scratch.
If you just want a "drysumpsystem",on the car, that is not including
all of its features, then building becomes more easy.
The design may also focus on just a few of a drysump system features,
like low ground setting, be able to run less oil,  better oil control,
no oil on the track in the case of granadeing, better crank case vacuum,
etc etc.
