[DeTomaso] Battery charging

Lynn:  Keep in mind that a Model A is positive ground.  Walmart  sells a 
6/12volt float charger for about $20 if there is one near by.  Just  a 
friendly reminder from a former owner of two Model As and a current Model T  owner. 
 My T has a mag so no dead battery problems :)

I have  a 1929 model A pickup with a 6 volt electrical system.  The battery
is  dead and I am away from my shop where I have a 6 volt battery charger.
My  question is:  can I use a 12 volt trickle charger to charge a 6  volt
battery?
