I read that if a car has been sitting and not drivable you should also assume the entire braking system needs to replaced or sleeved.
Sounds like a parts car to me.

I am Hugh (Hugh Boyd Casey) and I am the one who made contact with the
eller and got the pics and the title, and also the one who hypothesised on
he possible cost to complete this "bargain".After looking at the pictures
he seller sent me I felt that the car "looked Funky" I don't know if it was
he terrible GTS conversion, The cheap wheels, the no bumpers or wiper
talks or the format of the cell phone pictures but the lines and proprtions
f the car just didn't look straight to me. If someone drove from oregon to
odesto and Passed I feel like I made the right decision passing form New
ork. It would cost an extra $1400 just to get it here.

Chances are the seller (having too many projects) knows what he has and has
priced it according to condition, like they say "if it's too good to be
true....". As stated in a previous post by someone, by the time you add in
the emissing ZF, take into account the fact the engine may not be running,
required body work etc. you have rapidly invested $25K in your 'bargain'
 Pantera.

on the deal. He didn't know why the perspective buyer turned down the deal,
but went on to say that the car also needed some body work. Additionally he
stated there was another perspective buyer coming from San Bernardino (same
area I live) that would be there on Friday, and I could call to check on
status. Owner still seems to be a nice guy, but I've had enough unless
someone such as Peter can supply pictures. Thanks, Ike
