[DeTomaso] Resistor in coil wiring?

My last post has a slight error in the last sentence.  While the voltage at the stator terminal is close to one half of the alternator's output voltage, the actual voltage (at the stator terminal) is the alternator's output voltage divided by the square root of 3, or say 15 volts divided by 1.73 = 8.67 volts (instead of one half of 15 volts = 7.5 volts).
