Rob...

Changing the fuel lines! GOOD for you! Believe me you don't want a fire like I had!!! Still not sure what caused it? Fuel line probably? Waiting to hear from the Ins.Co. Don't want to mess with things till the Ins. process is under way and the car is at the repair shop. Just takes time THEY keep telling me?

Clean short now!
Curt

Guys,

All this talk about changing 40 year old fuel lines scared me silly, so I
went to the local speed shop and got a bunch of steel braid fuel line and
replace both the supply line and the breather tube.  I cranked the car once
the bowl ran dry, she died.   There is no fuel pumping to the new filter.  I
know I'm getting old, but please tell me that my short term memory is not
shot. I remember when I took it off, the supply line (to the fuel pump) was
on the pick up farthest from the engine.  The vent tube was closest to the
engine and had a banjo fitting.  If I got it backwards, I deserve all the
scorn you guys can dish.

If not, does the fuel pump need to be primed?
