Interesting that Gov Perry has indicated he thinks Texas should secede from the Union. Interesting because the hero of the Texas "revolution" Sam Houston was opposed to secession. The battles had all been won, Texas had its Independence so the old soldier was pushed aside by the politicians of the day and they did secede.
