[DeTomaso] Rats, Not the Expected Valve Springs

I'm sorry to say that often times this is what you get when you buy an
engine from a commercial engine builder. If you read the fine print they are
completely in compliance with the terms they out lined. It's just that no
one expects that they are going to be the one that gets the substitute parts
and instead of maybe one part substituted they wind up with every part that
can be substituted being substituted. There is no substitute ( no pun
intended for dealing with a small operation that is building your engine to
your exact specs and knowing exactly what every part down to the gasket sets
that went into the motor. Either that or buy a crate motor from the factory
( like Ford Racing or GM performance.)Then you get exactly what you expect
because they are all the same. Sorry you were disappointed It may still work
out if the parts are really comparable.
Best of luck to you with it.
