[DeTomaso] Laminova Crown Victoria police Interceptor oil to wateroil cooler.

Larry,

You can get some info here:

http://www.laminova-online.se/

Go to "oil cooler",  and "C43-332", and  "Detailed Info".  They say that plugs are for a flow less than 80 L/min.  This suggests that we should cut out the plug.

Guys,

What I need to know is the water flow direction and the oil in line on them.

Thanks,

Larry - Cleveland

plate fingers bent around it so the plate doesn't come off it unless you bend it slightly. The right
fitting slides into the slot before assembly. As you can see the fittings are free to swivel during
assembly but will probably remain fixed when the retaining plate is tightened down. I cut the crimped
sleeves off and reused the fittings with new o-rings and new crimp sleeves when I had new oil lines
made. I can get better pics of the fittings if you want for reference, I still have an old oil line
around I think.

a swap meet several years ago and they all had the same fittings.  I put one on my car, sold one and
this one is still kicking around the barn..

apart like any Aeroquip type fitting, and they turn in a swivel joint at the hose so you can screw the
fitting into the casting with a wrench without turning the hose.  I kept this one just because I
thought I might use the fittings on something else one of these days...  New fittings would probably
cost more than I paid for this cooler.

connectors are not swiveling (but can be inserted at any rotational position during assembly) and are
crimp fitted to the oil line.

length and then

actually screw together (or unscrew to take them apart).  The collar is in-fact a big nut.  You take
the nut, shove the hose in one end of it, then screw the other part of the fitting into the other end
of the nut which forces the hose into some grooves in the inside of the collar.

cool rotating fitting. Well worth saving!
