>>>Well, to be fair, I give thanks to those who are *really* serving and
making huge sacrifices on everyone's behalf, mine included. I feel fortunate
to be a part of this whole endeavor, but fully recognize that there is a
profound, orders-of-magnitude difference between the way they serve (which
truly involves incredible sacrifice on the best of days), and the way I serve
(which, to be perfectly honest, is mostly like a flying frat party, with
occasional periods of danger and/or frusration and/or minor, minor
inconvenience).

to wheels in the well. If it sat there with engines running for an hour,
something was wrong--either they were troubleshooting a problem, or there was
an air traffic control problem.

You mean it was non-operational, sitting on the tarmac awaiting parts?

They don't call him the Drewsaster for nothing.

See above comment regarding sitting on the ground, troubleshooting a
problem.

I was looking at C-5 videos on Youtube the other day; there was a great one
of a C-5 taking off from JFK. One of the landing gear got jammed on
retraction and it disappeared into the distance with the gear AFU....
